Tanja Schutte: Managing Director
Tanja is the Managing Director at ClearlineIS. As a BICSI RCDD (Registered Communication Distributor Designer) and CDCD (Certified Data Centre Designer), Tanja designs and implements infrastructure solutions tailored to client’s specific requirements, and works closely with her team to ensure proper build and deployment of all solutions.
Prior to joining ClearlineIS, Tanja was the Business Unit Manager for Communications Cabling & Wireless Connectivity at Dimension Data’s Advanced Infrastructure line of business. Her primary responsibilities were client consulting, the design and architecting of cabling infrastructure & wireless solutions, and management of bids and tenders. With more than thirteen years experience in design, Tanja’s passion for her work is evident in her commitment to advancing her engineering skills. In addition to being BICSI certified, Tanja is also a CFOT (Certified Fibre Optic Technician) and a qualified Blownfibre designer and technician, and is currently undergoing her CDCDP (Certified Data Centre Design Professional). In addition Tanja is a member of FOA (Fibre Optic Association), and is well versed in all major copper products including Systimax, Molex, Krone, and Belden.
Having joined the telecommunications industry in 2000, Tanja is the first and only woman in Africa qualified as an RCDD.
Sipho Baloyi: Chairman and Non-Executive Director
As Chairman and Non-Executive Director of ClearlineIS, Sipho is responsible for chairing the board, strategy and business development. Sipho has long been involved in the growth, development and expansion of successful private businesses. He still serves on the board of a mining and industrial supplies company that he established in 2008 as a Non Executive Chairman.
Prior to joining ClearlineIS, Sipho served as Group Executive at the South African Revenue Service, responsible for the VIP segment and Enforcement division. In his twelve year career at SARS he held various management positions from Business Area Manager to Senior Operations Manager. He also held a management consultant position at Deloitte where his clients included the government, SARS, political organisations, the National Empowerment Consortium, financial institutions, media houses, and key players in the telecommunications, steel and mining industries.
Sipho’s career has its foundations from working in the audit environment at institutions like the Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA) and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). In his early career he developed his talent in financial and management accounting while working for Telkom South Africa. Sipho holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BcomAcc) degree and a post graduate qualification in business and financial management. Sipho continues to provide leadership support to various organisations including student, youth and community based programmes.
Landus Armstrong: Non Executive Director
With over 26 years of key operational experience Landus fulfills a Non Executive Director position at ClearlineIS. In this capacity he is responsible for new business development.
Since 2006 Landus has acted as an Executive Member of a number of leading organisations in the property, security and automotive industries. His unique blend of creativity and operational expertise brings a strategic, yet pragmatic, approach to business problems and solutions resulting in many satisfied clients. With a steady eye on the bottom line, Landus oversees the successful management of a number of national organisations and has helped to reshape these companies from being product-focused to client-centric organisations delivering custom solutions. His previous experience includes senior management positions at some of the country’s top security firms including Fidelity Guards.
Juan van Tonder: Regional Director - Western Cape
Juan pioneered and heads up the Western Cape Region for Clearline Infrastructure Solutions. In this role, Juan is responsible for overseeing the financial and sales operations of the Western Cape business. He also takes ownership for the delivery of business strategy, partner and client relationships, management of contract teams, and identification of new service opportunities.
Prior to establishing Clearline Infrastructure Solutions, Juan acted as the Divisional Executive of Business Connection Communications for the Eastern Cape, where he was actively responsible for developing and growing the profitability of the regional business. This he achieved through the development and marketing of innovative new communications services. During the first fourteen years of his career Juan was employed in a number of roles with global organisation Dimension Data. Noted accolades with the ICT conglomerate include the successful management of various business units.
Juan also holds qualifications in: Business Management, Management Development and Sales Management, Telecommunications Network Design and Distribution, Telecommunications Networks Engineering, Distribution Networks Engineering and Fibre Optic Engineer.
Jason Bird: Regional Director KwaZulu-Natal
Jason Bird, Regional Director KwaZulu-Natal, opened the Durban branch of ClearlineIS in 2011, and is responsible for business development throughout the KZN region. With a degree in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management, and extensive experience in managing strategic marketing and sales operations, Jason is well equipped to drive the ClearlineIS offerings in the province. Jason also plays a lead role in building and managing customer relations and satisfaction within the group.
Jason began his career in media where he was the Sales Manager for the Independent Newspaper Group. From there Jason went onto Touchline Media where he fulfilled the role of Marketing Manager for various sports publications. On leaving the media world Jason joined Fancourt as their Golf Development Manager, and during this time was responsible for a number of international events such as the President’s Cup and the Nelson Mandela 46664 Concert. Jason then went onto head up Golf Operations at the prestigious Steenberg Golf Estate and finally, prior to joining ClearlineIS, he was Director of Sports at Durban Country Club. Jason is an avid sportsman and as a fully qualified PGA Professional spends his leisure time on the golf course.
Elize Lubbe: Sales Director
As Sales Director at ClearlineIS, Elize’s role includes a multitude of responsibilities. These include firstly, the articulation of the company’s solutions offerings, driving new sales, and understanding clients’ requirements, secondly the formulation of solutions, planning and costing, and thirdly service delivery.
Elize has more than 20 years experience in the management, deployment and operations of Information Transport System (ITS) solutions, and has exceptional people management and client relationship skills. She has been responsible for the management of unique infrastructure solutions for clients across a broad range of sectors including financial, telecommunications, and educational institutions.
Prior to joining ClearlineIS, Elize acted as Sales Executive for XON System, following a fifteen year career with Dimension Data’s Advanced Infrastructure Line of Business as Accounts Manager. Her earlier career included roles with ABSA Limited and Volkskas Bank Limited.
Roelof Kotze: Group Financial Director
As Group Financial Manager, Roelof is responsible for the financial management, budgets and accounting of ClearlineIS. In this capacity, Roelof develops and implements the financial goals, priorities and procedures of the group. Roelof has been instrumental in establishing and developing sound financial systems, which have resulted in increased operational efficiency, a benefit felt by all our clients.
Prior to joining ClearlineIS, Roelof was an audit manager at Fourie and Botha Registered Auditors, where he was responsible for clients’ financial audits. Roelof also completed his articles while with Fourie and Botha Registered Auditors, and holds a Bcompt Honours in Financial Accounting.
